Little Point Sable Tour

Another sun set

Triple trouble

The kids love to fish at Dane and Bea’s. There are several docks for them to use and they always have fun. The fish were not too hungry but they caught a few. Sunday morning we went to the lighthouse to take a tour. It was interesting to be inside after many years watching the sun set with it in the background. The view from the top was amazing. It was a cool perspective that you can’t imagine without being up there. Shaun was a little scared of the height and I must say it was a little unnerving on that little catwalk. Lighthouse Photos

Last Saturday my Uncle Leon and Aunt Judy came up north for the day. The cousins even came from Colorado and of course Reily. It was nice to see those guys it had been a while since we had got together. The day was gorgeous and the company was great. We hung out and caught up on little and big things. The boys had fun jumping off the raft and swimming and I got some cool pictures. Check out the following link for more pictures. Kleinjans’ in the north. Hope you guys will keep in touch online.

Summer Stuff

A nice sunset in Grand Haven

Shaun being attacked by the beach

Was that a 300 yard drive Tiger?

Not a bad follow through !

Lawnmower antics

A couple of weeks ago we stopped to watch the sunset in Grand Haven on our way home from the lake. I took a couple of pictures even though it was quite dark. We all went to Grand Haven when Lisa came back from Hungary. The kids had fun in the water and Shaun wanted to get buried in the sand.
I got out of work early and Shaun and I went golfing at The Pheasant in Borculo. Shaun is working hard on his game and I played terribly.
Last weekend we went up north and the boys wanted to swim and fish even though it was dark. The water and air were cold for swimming but kids do not seem to mind. I am sure Dane and Bea liked the noisy company on their dock after dark.
We got up “EARLY” (9:00am) on Saturday and mowed the “lawn” up north. Shaun did not care for me taking pictures while he was mowing. I let him take pictures of me and tried to make a game of it to keep him working. The biggest problem was the dust because it is so dry. Click on the following green text for more pictures. Summer Sunsets

Shaun and I went to Point Sable light house for the sunset a couple of weekends ago. We were able to see an awesome sunset and get some cool pictures. Shaun was almost buried in the dunes. I wanted to post so Lisa could seem them before she left. We are heading up north for the weekend and are looking forward to Lisa and the boys being here Monday. Marching in Zeeland

Creekside 6th grade first parade!
We look to be in step.

Playing the Star Spangled Banner from memory.

Hey I see my dad taking photos!

Everyone has on the right uniform :)

The girls look a little taller than the boys.

How many more blocks?

See you at the Tulip parade next year!

Just keeping an eye on the band!
Today Shaun marched in the Memorial Day Parade in Zeeland. It was chilly this morning but turned into a nice day. There were a lot of veterans from every war marching today. I worry about our people at war today and hope they come home safe. I am thankful that they were and are willing to give their lives to keep us free.
Shaun did a fantastic job marching and they sounded great playing the Star Spangled Banner. They memorized it and worked very hard preparing for the parade. I was very proud of him today.

Sunset in Grand Haven

Shaun and I went to the beach in Grand Haven a couple of weeks ago. It was still cold but I wanted to try out my new camera. It was quite dark when we were on the beach but the pictures turned out cool. I can’t wait until we are at the lake at sunset and out by the lighthouse. I am also looking forward to many great pictures when we travel out west in a few weeks.

Tip Toe Through the Tulips

Shaun won 3 times at this game.

A cute Dutch boy!

I did not really want a picture.

Dancing with wooden shoes.

A few prizes!

Shaun and I went down to Tulip Time last Saturday. We checked out the craft stuff in the park and saw the clompin’ dancers. Shaun wanted to ride the rides by the old civic center so we went down to check it out. Shaun got an armband to ride all the rides and I went on the Ferris wheel with him. It was warm when we left the house and cold in Holland.
We hung out and played games and ate. What is Tulip Time without Elepant Ears? Shaun won 3 stuffed animals and I won one. I was fun but cold. I took some cool pics and they are posted under Tulip Time.

Flowers without Snow!

Here are some flowers without the snow. The first daffodils got frozen but the next batches were very nice. My tulips looked like I sprayed roundup on them. Maybe next year they will blossom. I will post Tulip Time pics soon.
